“No homo”, dude, you didn’t say it.

Disclaimer: I’ve never read the books or watched the movie, and — as I’m sure most of my fellow Y-chromosome compatriots would agree — am convinced and afraid that the worldwide “craze” over this Edward character is the first sign of a coming apocalypse. Not that I disapprove of having a thing for/obsession over a fictional character — you’re talking to a guy who once envisioned a polygamous marriage with Jessica Rabbit, Holli Would, Lara Croft, Jill Valentine and Kim Possible — but it just seems like some people are taking it a bit too far.

Lol. That's too funny. I know a couple of girls obsessed with that movie/books and vampires now haha.

  2. Roxette

Hahaha, hey I'm a girl and I've never read or watched the book either. But all my friends that have are obsessed with Edward. Haha, yeah this was funny, I totally imagine Edward yelling that with his English/british accent or something.

  3. Colby

O.o Wow, didn't get the joke until I read that article. Holy crap people are sad.

No but seriously, bite me ya? I don't necessarily want all the girls clamoring all over me, but I might like to watch them fight to the death. I would feel like a king!

Keep it up, I really enjoyed the face in the last panel :o

  4. Derek

you are so right there. I've never read the book or watched the film, but I just don't know what's the deal with edward. My social climber friend keeps on saying in her blog that "he was so compassionate and unconditional" when in fact I was told by a friend that when they watched the movie she was like "oh my god I love his eyes!", "oh my god I love his smile!", or "o my god I love his… breathing pattern!".

oh, did I tell you I love your comics? hehe..

    • Enzo

      Breathing pattern? Seriously? That's just borderline . . . scary @_@

      You just did ! =D

  5. Professor Katz

When do you expect the forum too come along?

I will be the first to register :D

    • Enzo

Hmm I can put it up this afternoon if you'd so like ^_^

  6. Reesh

Robert Pattinson is eh…Edward Cullen was supposed to be amazingly hot. <3

  7. georgie

very very funny. :) )) by the way i know your cousin isab :) )) well she is my classmate. small world

  8. Enzo

Oh wow !! Awesome !! So I'm assuming you've eaten her brownies before? If not, buy some from her next time she sells them at school! They are AMAZING.

  9. Miranda

Your thing sounds completely different through; I mean, Jessica Rabbit is HOT.
Seriously though, I'm a gal who's read Twilight, and even I don't understand the Edward Cullen obsession. Movie or book-wise he's just not that attractive.

I have never thought about using his sexy vampire powers to get an ex back though. Keep up the comics, I love the last panel.

    • Enzo

YES !! Someone that agrees with me ! I don't understand how they were able to put a character like Jessica Rabbit into a movie so obviously directed at kids — but then again, I'm not complaining. Bwahaha.

As for Edward Cullen — I don't understand it either, but I haven't read the book at all, so I don't exactly have a reliable basis for judgment. : ( I just keep wondering if people would have had the same worldwide reaction to him if he was, like, a "sexy werewolf".

      Thanks =D

  10. waphle

We can't help ourselves :( even those of us with Y-chromosomes. He's just so… okay, there needs to be an adjective which is like masculine, but for vampires (vampire-y just sounds silly). Could you get on that? Thanks.

    • Enzo

HAHAHA! Hmm. Alluring ? I don't know. : ( I do know what you mean a little bit, though! Lara was telling me a little more about this Edward Cullen character according to popular belief, he's the "perfect guy". Not fair !

This also sounds a bit like a recommendation to read the novel, correct me if I'm wrong ^_^ I'm getting more and more intrigued.

      • waphle

Haha I have the novel lying around but I haven't read it yet… I'll let you know if/when I do. The movie pretty (unintentionally) hilarious… I can't say I'd recommend it unless you're inclined to gawk at sexy vampires (not a small demographic, as we have learned).

  11. SonnyGoten

Edward Cullen is an emo-boy and this comes from someone who belongs with the XX-chromosome team.

    • Enzo

I love it when people can't comprehend basic humor.

  12. anonymous:)

    WIN.

  13. NOT

dude, there are like 10 years old girls going to robert pattinson like "hey, can you bite me?". creepy.
the thing is that edward cullen, the character is SO sweet and robert pattinson is SO hot and girls are crazy.
    i know, i'm one of them! =P

    • jessica

like umm……. why is that soooooo not suprising? It’s just tooo bad that none of yall girls out there won’t get him.HAHAHAHA. why? because kristen stewart has him. so…. ya go get a life and stop wasting yalls life trying to fight about who’s going to get him. tooo baaaaddddd- i need to tell you something —too bad get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. emilyn monroe

HA. I SEE THE WORD JILL VALENTINE hahaha. :)
    sorry, Leon S. Kennedy FTW

good comic btw.. ahh the Edward Cullen craze…

  15. Delta

    Lol that was FUNNY.

  16. Somebody's Only Light

I love Twilight, and I am pleasantly surprised to see that you have turned my obsession into a comic. XD

  17. Brittni

i love twilight, i read the books BEFORE anyone knew of them, i went to the premiere of the movie and all that, but i certainly would not ask them to bite me. people like that make me embarrased to be fan.

  18. Theresa

Twilight was a well-written series, and I have to admit I did love Edward (and of course Jacob) but asking him to bite me is a disturbing thought. Plus, it’s just another way for normal guys to be shot down because they can’t rise to the perfection that only fictional characters can obtain. It sets all of us girls’ expectations WAY too high.

  19. Enzo

I’m just glad that you folks are more level-headed than the fans being portrayed in the media. I mean, one one side, there are people who appreciate decent literature, and on the other hand, there’s the fanatics that get so wrapped up in it that they blur the line between fiction and reality. It’s scary, it really is!

I mean I can relate, definitely. Girls fell in love with Edward, I fell in love with Kimpossible when I was 14. Did I want her to save me from mad scientists hell-bent on world domination? No!

Well, maybe a little bit, because a mad-scientist-hell-bent-on-world-domination scenario is three different types of awesome.

  20. Theresa

haha I loved KimPossible!!! where did all of the cartoons like that go? the stuff on now sucks sooooo much.

  21. Jewelz

Haha one of my friends is a total Edward Cullen fan girl, she’s got pictures of him on one of her bedroom walls and she gets really pissed off at me whenever I diss him. I can’t believe what people go to just to see an ugly (no offence to all the people who love him) guy who’s famous because he is in a bad (once again no offence) movie. I love your comics, keep it up dude. XD

  22. Hitotsu

responding to Enzo’s comment on 05/13: just voicing my opinion here, but i don’t consider Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight works to be decent literature IN ANY FORM. decent literature is subtle, and i find Twilight to be anything but that, especially if it causes muderous stampedes. no one ever did that over Shakepeare, am i right?

  23. Enzo

I just figured that any form of literature that generates a cult following HAS to be appealing in some way, right?

  24. Aly

    Yea, WAY too far…

    TOO GAY! TOO GAY!

    You kill me Enzo!

  25. Lexi

    Haha! I LOVE this!

  26. Melissa

    INGENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    also… ingenious.

  34. Hayley

im the only one out of my friends that doesnt like edward xD it kinda sad, i just sit back while that talk about him being so HAWT and wat not while i make dissapointed faces at them

  35. Margo

I know people who have read it, people from both sides.
I have read them, and hold no special feelings for the books.
However, I can honestly say that burning a book is actually REALLY fun, especially when marshmallows are involved. <3

  36. glenselanroj

now, aside from readin the comics, i’ve been entertaining myself on reading the comments, and this one’s got the longest yet… Way to go!

  37. Jake

In light of New Moons release, this comic is more topical then ever.
And therefor, that much more freaking highlarious.

  38. janica

Enzo, you’re so great. :D Gulat ako pinoy ka pala. HAHA.
