Though if a man is a slut, I believe the correct term is a “player”. It’s not nearly as derogatory as “slut” for some reason, and among male circles can even be considered a compliment. For example, imagine a group of college guys saying to another guy, “check it out, it’s player!” Now imagine a group of college girls (and for once, DON’T imagine them naked) saying to another college girl, “check it out, it’s the slut!” The tones aren’t really the same, are they? Just a thought; have you guys ever REALLY got to know a ‘droid’/'lemming’ or 2? Sure, they may act in popular opinion in order to gain it, but if you spend a couple days spending time with ‘one’, you find they that usually don’t agree with their actions. I find it too off-tend the non-’droids’ bashing the ‘droids’ when they haven’t taken the time to get to known them.
I’ve known a slut who i bad at reaching out for love, and one of the better poets I know. I’ve known a bully who got beat by his father every time he got home and never learned how to make friends.

The difference between men & women on the whole “slut” double-standard phenomenon is simple. Sex drive comes mostly from testosterone, which men have heaps more of. Men aren’t wired to reject a hot girl, plain and simple. They’ve got nothing to lose and plenty to gain! They like sex and it’s good for the ego (which, ladies, is much more fragile than they make out and needs whatever support the guy can give it). Women, on the other hand, as well as having a smaller sex drive, have the risk of pregnancy, are less physically powerful than men and have a long history of being shunned for any sluttiness whatsoever. Now that religion isn’t such a huge influence on social attitudes towards women anymore, the reason this attitude is still around is that women generally have this ability to make much deeper friendship bonds than men, for whom emotional distance is an almost universal life philosophy, and therefore women should have no need to reassure their egos with one-night-stands and the like, especially since these are so much easier for women to find. That’s why slutty girls are seen as weak and slutty men walk with confidence. I don’t see how people can still be so confused over this.
