Just. Read. Every. Strip. From. First. Til. Now. In. Four. Hours.
It is five am. My eyes are dying. But… I think I may love you, a little bit.
I was feeling really terrible, and I started googling images for ‘Cheer Up Emo Kid’ and came across this webcomic, grew curious, and went back to the beginning.
Now, I’m feeling like 100% better, if exhausted, and, I’d like to say, Frank is a beast.
I sort of prefer the middle-ish style, personally, where they have hair and cute little outfits, but I haven’t been reading this that long, so……. Iunno. That was gonna be a whole second half of a thought, but then it died. Really tired, so typing might not be so coherent.
Anyway, new favorite webcomic. Also, young!emo!Frank is one of the adorable-est things I’ve seen since I discovered multicolored baby chickens.

He knocked ‘im straight back into the old-school CUEK art style! While I enjoy the fancier stuff, the message gets through better in the old style. Well done, Enzo, and nice to see you back.

I love you for all these comics Enzo, in a totally non-gay way of course… the one about the dog made me tear up and really think about how much my dog plays a role in my day to day life and how he is the only friend that has always been there ya know? Anyways keep up the good work man (:

This is a very vicious and interesting webcomic. The way it is drawn and the jokes in each strip makes it really great, plus the fact that this involves deep and tough themes about life. I’m loving it Enzo, and I’m looking forward to see more of your work!

now that you are getting famous. i hope you don’t get into any copyright issues. you know, the zoozoos bear a lot of resemblance to the old style. i mean most probably you know but being an ardent fan.. i’m just concerned. ok, i noticed it now, so thought should bring it to your notice too.

Just read from #1 to the present again, and i have to say your sarcastic outlook on life and the way you can take something serious and make it fucking hilarious is a breath of fresh air compared to the serious mood everybody seems to be in these days. personally, i liked the middle style the best. it gave it some semblance of originality along with the minimalistic vibe we all loved and enjoy. however, it seems the masses want the original style, and so the original style it shall be! either way, this comic kicks ASS

I’m totally happy about you going back to the old style. Just try to add little things so we can differentiate the character from each other. Like Frank and his scarf and Blue with his blue tie/hat, or Purple and her skull bow.

Dang, I ended up on this series cuz my friend liked your page a long time ago. I followed the White Rabbit, if you will. Then I got instantly hooked, read from number one to this very last one. I have got to say, you’re writing about stuff I’ve dealt with. The whole ex-girlfriend affecting me, not getting over her, to losing two dogs that were more profoundly beloved than I would’ve ever known, to just messing around and having fun or fighting with friends. Your comics are life, boss, and I appreciate you for putting these up. Thank you, and God bless.

  You assume correctly! But also because it’ll be much faster for me to draw when shit is just simple shapes in black & white, and not full complex shapes in full grayscale.
  
  Hopefully by scaling back the amount of work I have to do to crank out a strip, I can get back to some semblance of a regular schedule.

Enzo, I have a real important question to you:

Isn’t the point of “Cheer Up Emo Kid” supposed to be about “life, love and loss”? By that I mean desperate single whiny people?

Didn’t it give us a greater message when alot of people in the new style were looking “emo”ish? Sure, I love the old style but since I myself is emo, I enjoyed the new style alot more.

The new style probably took alot of time of work but it was simply more modern and “comedy-like”.

For example: That Frank look Emo in the new style is actually very understandable, since in older episodes you learned why he is such an asshole to people, because he himself is a very depressed person.

Simply put: Bald colourless people is not as fun to look at.

Though, whatever choice you make, I fully support it and I will keep reading your comic, I am just very, very dissapointed you had to change it back…
