    Default Why Do You Swear?

One time my brother heard a little boy swear he went up to the boy and asked why he did it.
The boy shrugged and said "cuz it's cool."
I asked a (middle school) friend of mine why she does it and she said "just cuz everyone else does."

I don't swear and I don't see the appeal for it but if you do please tell me why.

It just seems ass to emphasize more than Ned flanders 'Kadiddlehoper'.

Like it sound rough coming of the tongue. Not Chuck norris rough but sandpaper rough. Which i tend usually use in a painful situation rather than the softer kadiddlehoper.

Idk its mostly habit except around my parents who censor me more than CBS on I love Lucy.

It's a great way for me to relieve anger. Sort of like what Impulse said.

I would swear depending on how I'm feeling. Wether it's pain, aggression, or something else.

You won't find me standing atop a mountain any time soon screaming "FFFUUUUUUCCCKKKK", and then walking away afterwards thinking "Wow, that was so manly...". It'll probably be because a bear just ate all my food and crapped in my fire pit or that I ran out of Klondike bars.

There was a study done about this, the results showed that people who swore (while in pain) it revived some of the pain better then when they did not swear.

Yep. I'm surprised it turned out that good, to be honest! XD
I didn't think I drew in paint that often and honed that much skill until now...
